In the field of environmental fate assessment with focus on the analysis, identification and effects of organic micropollutants in the aquatic environment. The successful candidate is expected to:
- write research proposals
- supervise Master and PhD Students
- develop analytical methods using LC-MS/MS and HPLC
- organize a small lab
- participate in the yearly laboratory practical courses for students
- cooperate with KIT institutes and other research facilities
The candidate holds a PhD in environmental chemistry or analytical chemistry or closely related disciplines. Good communication skills, a good command of English and German as well as sound computer skills are required. We offer a fully equipped water chemistry laboratory and support in an international and interdisciplinary team. The candidate benefits from a large scientific network, a supportive atmosphere between the different institutes at KIT and from close collaborations with the industry. The candidate`s personal and professional development is explicitly fostered (conferences, workshops, stays abroad etc.).
