Key Responsibilities
- The Demand Planner is responsible for leading the exception based demand management process from beginning to end and delivering a strong statistical forecast. They are responsible for developing and maintaining a realistic consensus forecast with the Sales and Marketing team, administering the sales control plan on constrained products and improving customer forecasts.
Develop demand forecast at multiple levels of aggregation
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast reports, develop statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast accuracy results
- Interact with sales, marketing and commercial finance to understand demand forecast drivers; Utilize a collaborative approach by working with these functions to ensure that current and accurate information is captured in the demand forecast
- Facilitate and manage monthly demand consensus meetings
- Work with the Supply Planner to identify, publish and plan against all known resource constraints
- Provide and distribute monthly/weekly reports and KPIs to sales, marketing, commercial finance, schedulers and S&OP
- Support commercial finance, sales and marketing in the annual budgeting process
